The University of Cantabria organises a welcome programme before classes start in order to provide the student with a first contact with the university, the city of Santander and the Spanish culture in general. The programme consists of an orientation session, a guided Tour of the University and leisure and cultural activities in order to facilitate the student's social integration.
The ORI strongly recommends the student to take part in this programme.
UC Welcome Programme will take place on 2nd - 3th September 2024.
Price (excursions + insurance): 65€

Place: Salón de Actos of the "Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales"

Schedule:
10.00: Welcome words, presentation and mentors introduction.
11.30: Guided Tour of the University: visit to the Library, Language Centre, Clasrooms, Sports Building and other services like Cafees.
12.30 - 19.00 approx: Visit to Comillas and Santillana del Mar. Santander Citytour. A picnic bag is included for the trip.
Day: 3rd September 2024 (to be confirmed)
Place: Main Entrance of the "Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales"
Schedule: 8:30 - 19:00 approx: Full-day excursion (Picos de Europa - Altamira Neocave).
A picnic bag is included for the trip.
We reserve the right to modify the place and date of excursions depending on the weather condition, in which case registration fees will not be reimbursed.

Important note: students will be required to show their ID card or passport in order to get in the bus. Students who do not show any kind of identification document may be rejected.
