WHO MAY USE INTERLIBRARY LOAN LENDING SERVICES

University of Cantabria Library accepts ILLs from other institutions. Individuals in search of materials should use interlibrary loan services through their local library.

CHARGES

We accept the following payment methods: 
IFLA vouchers and IFM (e.g. through WorldShare ILL) 
2 IFLA vouchers – Loan to European Libraries                             1 IFLA voucher - International Photocopy
1 IFLA voucher – Photocopy to European libraries                     4 IFLA vouchers- International Loan

SUBMITTING A REQUEST

Requests may be submitted  either using the form,  email, or through OCLC (symbol CAJ)
First, please consult our catalog
Requests Must Include the Following Information 
  • For photocopies - journal and article title, author or editor, volume, issue, pages, date and publisher.
  • For loans – title, author or editor, date and publisher. 

All requests must include full mailing address, contact information, and acknowledgement of agreement to pay all applicable charges. Borrowers are responsible for all materials until the ILL record is updated to checked-in.

LOAN PERIOD AND SHIPPING

The loan period is 4 weeks after receipt. 
The loaned materials will be shipped by registered post. Please return them in the same condition as received, and use the same or equivalent packaging materials and shipping methods. 
Interlibrary loans can be renewed if you request it before the due date at pi@unican.es . Please include the interlibrary loan request details.

NON CIRCULATING MATERIALS

University Library does not loan periodicals (we provide photocopies of journal articles), high-use materials or special collections materials. Theses-Dissertations can be loaned with author’s permission.
