Direct and manage the organisation of work and human resources applying industrial safety, quality management, health and safety, sustainability and environmental management criteria
Apply knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and other natural sciences, obtained from study, experience and practice, with critical reasoning in order to establish economically viable solutions to technical problems
Design products, processes, systems and services pertaining to the chemical industry, as well as optimising others that have already been developed, taking as a technological basis the diverse areas of chemical engineering, being aware of the processes and phenomena of transport, separation processes and the engineering of chemical, nuclear, electrochemical and biochemical reactions
Conceptualise engineering models, apply innovative methods when soving problems and appropriate information technology applications for design, simulation, optimisation and process and system control
Have the ability to solve problems one is not used to, which are not completely defined, where there are competing specifications, taking into account the possible solution methods including the most innovative, choosing the most appropriate one and be able to make corrections to the implementation, assessing the different design solutions
Direct and supervise all types of installations, processes, systems and services in different industrial areas related to chemical engineering
Design, construct and implement methods, processes and installations for integral management of solid, liquid and gaseous supplies and waste in industry, and have the ability to evaluate their impacts and risks
Direct and organise businesses, as well as production and service systems, applying knowledge and ability in industrial organisation, commercial strategies, planning and logistics, business and labour legislation, and financial and cost accounting
Manage research, technological development and innovation, addressing technological transfer and property and patent rights
Adapt to structural changes in society brought about by economic, energy or natural factors or phenomena, so as to solve derived problems and provide technological solutions with a high commitment to sustainability
Direct and undertake verification, control of installations, processes and products, as well as certificates, audits, verifications, tests and reports
Carry out tasks and work characteristic of the business side of the chemical industry, as well as research activities in the chemical engineering field, with initiative, creativity and a motivation towards quality, synthesising and integrating the skills acquired during the master's course
Once all the credits of the study plan have been obtained, carry out, present and defend an original exercise performed individually before a university panel, consistent with an integral chemical engineering project of a professional and/or research nature which synthesises skills acquired during the teaching period
