Roger Bartomeus Peñalver obtained his Bachelor's degree in Human Biology from Pompeu Fabra University in 2013. After spending two years in Copenhagen studying Bioinformatics and drinking beer he obtained a Master's degree in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine from the University of the Basque Country (2019). He is now working in comparative genomics and in silico plasmid prediction. His main interests reside in applying machine learning methods to biological problems, especially (synthetic) microbial ecology and horizontal gene transfer. You can probably find him listening to music and/or reading.
