The invention relates to a method for distribuiting a Certificate Revocation List in a network (M) that comprises a pluraty of authenticated network nodes (N1-N3, CA), wherein one node is a certificate authority (CA), the method comprising the steps of: In case a new CRL is issued: broadcasting the CRL within the network by the CA to all awake network nodes, updating the CRL of each of said awake network by the respective awake node so that the awake network nodes have the new CRL, in order to distribute the new CRL from an awake network node to a not update node: Allowing the not updating node to broadcast messages advertising its presence in order to establish an authentication process with a network node that already has the new CRL.
