Abstract: Given > 0, a continuous linear functional ? on C(X) is said to be -disjointness preserving if |?(f)?(g)| ? whenever f, g ? C(X) satisfy f ? = g ? = 1 and f g ? 0. In this paper we provide the exact maximal distance from -disjointness preserving linear functionals to the set of weighted point evaluation functionals.
