Abstract: In this report, the main surgical pathologies in pediatrics and the ideal timing of surgery are reviewed. For most of the procedures, the mean age hasn't changed during the last ten years. But in some cases, the age of surgery has varied, due to achievements in Pediatrics, Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Anesthesiology. The surgical schedule in elective surgery tries to suggest the Pediatrician which could be the proper time of surgery for most of the patients, in order to provide them and their families with better information, get better surgical results, avoiding delays in treatment and unnecessary surgical consultation.
