Melanoma fixation for OCT imaging: how long is too long?

Abstract: This study evaluates the impact of fixation duration on the optical properties of melanoma. OCT measurements showed significant changes in attenuation between 2-6 hours of fixation, highlighting the need for standardized fixation protocols for imaging.
