Abstract: The Spanish network of neutron techniques for the promotion of materials science and optimization of the use of large-scale neutron facilities (REDNEUMAT) has started its activity. This network has been funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science Innovation and Universities and will organize 3 meetings over the next two years. The network is formed by Fifteen Spanish groups, from the University (Almería, Basque Country, Cantabria, Complutense de Madrid, Granada, Oviedo, Pública de Navarra), CSIC (ICMAB Barcelona, IEM-Madrid, ICMM-Madrid, CFM San Sebastian, ITQ Valencia, INMA-CSIC-UZ (Zaragoza), and BCMaterials (Bilbao) and the consortium ESS Bilbao. The network is coordinated by the University of Cantabria.
