I'm keen on science and technology, as well as, eager to constantly self-improve. Thin-film coatings deposition, i.e. PVD and CVD, but also, optoelectronics; plasma diagnostics; laser-matter interaction; physical, electrical, structural, chemical, optical, mechanical advanced characterizations; vacuum, imaging, space, surface, nuclear sciences, are activities within RDI projects that have turned me into a young professional, representing my interests as well.
As you can further on see, this chapter lasted around six years, a period when I placed a great effort, achieved a lot and strived for advancement by conducting scholarly programs, i.e. MSc and PhD, in parallel by working both in public-academic, and in private-industry environments, as a research scientist, and as an optical engineer, all in European workplaces (Romania and Spain). As such, I have gained hands-on and know-how experience in Space and Defense Industry (optomechanics, AIV/AIT, Optical Payloads, Alignment Techniques, Sounding Rockets, Microgravity, Environmental Testing, UAV); Photonics Industry (High Power, Ultrafast, Excimer CW or PW Lasers); Materials Design, Processing, (Additive) Manufacturing, and Packaging (Semiconductor, Piezoelectric, Polymer, Alloy, Oxide, Nitride); Nuclear Industry (Fusion, Fission, TOKAMAKs, Ion Sources and Implantation, Particle Accelerators, Spallation, Radiodating, Radiation Detectors); Micro-, Nano-, and Bio-Technologies (Sensors, Actuators, Membranes, Micromachining, Photomasks, LoC and Wearable Devices, MEMS, Printed Circuits, Microfluidics).
Not to mention the previous four years spent as a scholar, i.e. BScEng of Theoretical Physics and Materials Engineering, both domestically and abroad (Romania and Germany), which helped me to ground my profession by backing me with experience in Programming, Data Analysis, CAD Design, and Physical and Numerical Modelling.
Overall, and in total, around twenty-three scholar years constantly conducted in a gradually and steadily changing, national at the beginning and European afterwards, education system, from the primary (pre-Bologna) up to the doctoral (Bologna), has helped me develop all life's aspects and have a better understanding of work-life balance, as well as, how important are both work's risk and security, their control, but also, prevention and hygiene cultures, in having an inclusive workforce, a stable workplace, and a smooth workflow.
