EMUS-TWIN develops a physics-informed digital twin for monitoring fatigue damage in nuclear power plant piping, accounting for defects. A tomographic EMUS-based inspection system captures stress fields and defects from multiple angles enabling an inverse reconstruction algorithm that continuously calibrates the digital twin. Acting as a ?virtual sensor? for inaccessible areas, it bridges knowledge gaps in fatigue monitoring. Aligned with RL4 of CONNECT-NM, it will support predictive maintenance, with potential to reduce operational costs, personnel exposure and unplanned outages, while reinforcing regulatory and long-term operation support, ultimately enhancing nuclear materials' safety.
