Correspondence on "Suppressing energy migration via antiparallel spin alignment in one-dimensional Mn2+ halide magnets with high luminescence efficiency"

Abstract: The photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY) of tetramethyl ammonium manganese(II) chloride, (CH 3 ) 4 NMnCl 3 (TMMC), doped withCd 2+/Cu 2+ is analyzed through photoluminescencemeasurements, X-ray diffraction, optical absorption, andtime-resolved excitation and emission under hydrostaticpressure. Contrary to recent studies reporting a PLQYincrease up to x = Cd x /Mn 1-x = 0.08 followed by a decline(from 95% to 77% at x = 0.22), 1 we demonstrate thatthe PLQY remains consistently high (>/95%) across theconcentration range x = 0-0.22
