Abstract: The use of random projections in spaces of dimension larger than one is analyzed as a way to lower the dimensionality, difficulty, of the problem at hand. In particular, our focus is on the random Tukey depth, which can be applied to multivariate spaces as well as to functional ones, and on a goodness of fit test for stochastic processes.
