A simplified time-domain model calibrated with experimental data for a multi-chamber OWC device

Abstract: The main objective of this paper is experimentally validating an efficient numerical tool to model the performance of a fixed multi-chamber OWC device. The numerical model used is a simplified model in the time-domain based in the Cummins' equation (1962) for a floating body [1]. With the aim of experimentally calibrating and validating the numerical model, a fixed multi-chamber device was experimentally tested in the Cantabria Coastal and Ocean Basin (CCOB), in the facilities of the Environmental Hydraulics Institute of Cantabria (IH Cantabria).
