Rhodium nanocubes as building blocks for UV-plasmonics

Abstract: Nanoplasmonics in the UV-range has awaken a great interest due to applications in biological sensing, photocatalysis or spectroscopy. Recently, rhodium has been proposed as a promising candidate for this purpose. Its low tendency to oxidize overcomes the main problem with metals such as aluminum or magnesium. Also, it presents outstanding catalytic properties. As the synthesis of rhodium nanocubes has been recently reported and because of its UV-plasmonic performance interest, in this research we present an analysis of the plasmonic behaviour of Rh nanocubes aggregates
