Abstract: Poly Implant Prothèse (PIP) implants seem to have a higher rate of rupture, causing an evident clinical inflammatory response in some patients. A florid reactive inflammatory process of xanthomatous nature was observed at the inner surface of the ruptured PIP implant capsule showing a worrying appearance like that of a polypoid neoplasm disease.
