Continuity of linear maps on L1 -spaces

Abstract: We present a characterization of L1-spaces in terms of the continuity of c0-valued linear maps on dense subspaces. This provides a complete solution to a question investigated by Bogachev, Kircheim, Schachermayer and Shkarin.
