Endosomal trafficking: retromer and retriever are relatives in recycling

Abstract: Transmembrane proteins are sorted from endosomes to avoid lysosomal degradation. A recent study has identified a new multimeric complex called retriever that is essential for recycling numerous cell-surface cargoes from endosomes and is structurally and functionally related to the well-characterised retromer complex.
