Jorge Castro is Professor (Catedrático de Universidad) of Geotechnical Engineering at the Dept. Ground Engineering and Materials Science of the University of Cantabria. He is Civil Engineer (Master) and got his PhD at the Univ. Cantabria in 2008 (C. Sagaseta). He has been visiting researcher at TU Graz (H. Schweiger), at Strathclyde University (M. Karstunen) and at NUI Galway (B. McCabe). He is associate editor of "Geotextiles and Geomembranes" and editorial board member of "Computers and Geotechnics".
