Jonathan Albo obtained his MSc in Chemical Engineering (2010) from the University of Cantabria. In 2012, he completed his PhD in Chemical Engineering at the same university focused on the development of new membrane-based processes for CO2 separation. He next held a JSPS postdoctoral fellowship (2013) at Hiroshima University and a Juan de la Cierva contract (2014-2016) at the University of the Basque Country. He then rejoined the University of Cantabria as a Ramón y Cajal Senior Researcher (2016-2021) and, at present, he is Associate Professor in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department, where his main research interests are in the field of electro-photoelectro-and-photo-catalytic conversion of CO2 to value-added chemicals.
