| VALCO2-T project meeting | | VALCO2-T project meeting |
On November 26th, 2025, Prof. Ángel Irabien, Dr. Marta Rumayor, Dr. Guillermo Díaz-Sainz, Dr. Aitor Marcos-Madrazo, and Dr. José Antonio Abarca participated in the VALCO2-T Final Meeting at the University of Cantabria, focused on validating a prototype CO₂ recycling plant designed for hard-to-abate sectors, with a particular emphasis on the textile industry. This initiative is part of the VALCO2-T project, which aims to implement a multidisciplinary strategy to explore innovative physico-chemical processes—especially the integration of membrane technologies and electrolysis—for CO₂ recycling. The project centers on the production of chemical compounds, such as formic acid, for application in the textile sector, thereby promoting a circular economy model. VALCO2-T is led by the University of Cantabria, under the coordination of Prof. Ángel Irabien from the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and involves close collaboration with Textil Santanderina S.A., Apria Systems S.L., and the Communications Engineering Department of the University of Cantabria.

| 2025-12-04T23:00:00Z | | 2040 | | |
