Visit: CEIP SardineroVisit: CEIP Sardinero<p style="text-align:justify;">Aníbal Bringas and David Navarro visited CEIP Sardinero on November 29th, 2023, and delivered the workshop <em>“¡Descubre propiedades desconocidas como un auténtico científico!"</em> for 1st and 3rd grade students. PTECO2 AwardsPTECO2 Awards<p></p><p style="text-align:justify;">PhD students José Antonio Abarca and Kevin Fernández have been awarded <em>ex aequo</em> the prize for the “<em>Best Master Thesis in CO2 capture, transport, storage and utilization</em>" of Plataforma Tecnológica Española del CO2 (PTECO2), for their works entitled “<em>Fabricación optimizada de electrodos de difusión de gases para la electrorreducción de CO2 a formiato: spray pirólisis</em>" and “<em>Evaluación de ánodos de níquel en el proceso de electrorreducción continua de dióxido de carbono a formiato en un reactor filtro prensa</em>" respectively, developed in the DEPRO research group. Ranking Google Scholar CitationsRanking Google Scholar Citations<p></p><p style="text-align:justify;">Five members of the academic staff of the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering of the University of Cantabria are included in the Ranking of researchers in Spain and Spaniards abroad (I). The list consists of the Top 10.000 profiles ranked first by h-index in decreasing order and then by the total number of citations.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">In the last update published in November 2023, Ángel Irabien, Inmaculada Ortiz, Ane Urtiaga, Jonathan Albo, and Daniel Gorri are ranked among the 10.000 researchers in the Spanish ranking. To prepare the list, the records of more than 120.000 active scientists are evaluated and information regarding the number of citations per publication and the relevance of the researcher in the published works is considered. Collaboration GrantCollaboration Grant<p></p><p style="text-align:justify;">Andrea Domingo has been selected to receive a grant for students collaboration in university departments for the academic year 2023/2024 to initiate her research carreer at the University of Cantabria. International Event: Achieving competencies by cooperatingInternational Event: Achieving competencies by cooperating<p></p><p style="text-align:justify;">Professors Alfredo Ortiz and Rubén Aldaco participated last Wednesday, November 22nd in the international event at the University of Cantabria with students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (UC) to talk about cooperation, europe, skills & competences.
