CAPTUS Project MeetingCAPTUS Project Meeting<p></p><p style="text-align:justify;">Prof. Angel Irabien, Dr. Guillermo Díaz Sainz, and Dr. Aitor Marcos Madrazo recently participated in the Review Meeting of the "<em>Demonstrating Energy-Intensive Industry-Integrated Solutions to Produce Liquid Renewable Energy Carriers from Captured Carbon Emissions</em>" (CAPTUS) project, which was held virtually on January 14<sup>th</sup>, 2025, with the European Climate, Infrastructure, and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).</p><p style="text-align:justify;">This project, funded by the Horizon Europe program of the European Union, aims to demonstrate energy-intensive industry-integrated solutions for producing liquid renewable energy carriers from captured carbon emissions. Visit: IES Marqués de SantillanaVisit: IES Marqués de Santillana<p></p><p style="text-align:justify;">Students of the IES Marqués de Santillana (Torrelavega) visited the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department on January 17th, 2025, in the framework of an educational technical and teaching project. Dr. Antonio Dominguez welcomed the students and delivered a talk about the role of Chemical Engineers and their relevance to the Sustainable Development Goals. The academic event will took place on December 16th, 2024, at the conference room of ETSIIT of the University of Cantabria.
