Degree in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), holds a Master in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science and a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cantabria (UC).
Associate Professor of Business Administration & IT at UC. Member of the R&D Group of Application of Information Technologies for Competitiveness and Innovation, develops his activity in teaching and research in the fields of information systems, knowledge management, project management, information security and IT governance, improving business management.
In recent years, he has participated in and directed as responsible researcher, over 20 R&D projects financed by public bodies - InnoPro Project (Erasmus+ KA2, European Commison), ECO Project (CIP, European Commison), Interministerial Commission for Science and Technology (CICYT), Ministry of Industry Tourism and Sport of the Government of Cantabria - and industrial companies - Santander Shipyards, Nuclenor, Solvay Chemicals -, gaining more than 15 years of experience in project management.
He has participated in several conferences, has been member of scientific committees of international conferences and reviewer in journals like Future Generation Computer Systems or Total Quality Management & Business Excellence; he has published several book chapters - Thomson Reuters, CRC Press (Francis & Taylor Group), IGI Global, InTech Open Science, Dykinson, Tecnos (Grupo Anaya, Hachette Livre), Gestisa, Aula Magna (McGraw-Hill) and Egregius - and articles in national and international journals - Tourism, ET, JLAE, CC, RCyN, REMIPE, RESU, BJD, QHE, REEN, GESTO, RACE, JISTEM, IT&P, RG&T, PG&C, E-I, RISTI, IC, EM, IJHCITP, IJTM, EPI, BEE - on IT and Management -.
