WELCOME TO THE UNIVERSITY OF CANTABRIA APPLICATION
AND LEARNING AGREEMENT ONLINE FOR EXCHANGE STUDENTS


Application Period & Deadlines

  • Only full academic year or first semester: from 1st May to 1st June (inclusive)
  • Second semester: from 15th September to 15th October (inclusive)

Who can use this system?

Exchange students seeking for regular courses and courses in English at the University of Cantabria in the framework of any of the following exchange programs: ERASMUS, Bilateral Agreements with the USA and Australia and Bilateral Agreements with Latin American universities.

 

Instructions for the application procedure

  • Complete all the fields with the information required on each screen. Should a compulsory field not be completed, a message with its name in red will appear as a reminder.
  • Move forward and backward either clicking on the button at the end of each page or on the corresponding section included on the menu on the left.
  • Once all the data are introduced click on the "Submit" button.
  • At the end of the process you will be shown a slip to print. A PDF file containing the Learning Agreement showing the courses previously chosen will be sent to your e-mail address. This form must be approved and signed by your coordinators at your home institution.

Important: please take into account that for admission purposes the only valid "Learning Agreement" forms are those generated through the on-line procedure.


Compulsory Documents

We receive many packages in a very short period of time. Please help us to manage them by sending the application package as clearly and organized as possible following carefully the instructions provided. Thank you very much in advance.

APLICATION PACKAGE: All the required documents must be attached in pdf format.

01 Learning agreement (as 'SURNAME, Name - 01 LA.pdf')
    • Learning Agreement (L.A.), duly signed and stamped.
      • A minimum of 18 ECTS per semester is required.
      • At least 50% of the credits must fit in the area of the bilateral agreement specified in the nomination.

02 Transcript of records (as 'SURNAME, Name - 02 ToR.pdf') Copy of your complete and updated academic records.

03 REST OF DOCUMENTS:
Please include the rest of the documents in the same pdf in this order. (as 'SURNAME, Name - 03 Rest of documents.pdf')

03A Copy of valid passport or identity card

03B Copy of European Health Insurance Card or private insurance, valid for the whole stay at UC*


03D Proof of nomination provided by your home university (ERASMUS or exchange student certificate)

03E One original passport photo

Students from outside the European Union should also submit at their arrival:

  • Passport photocopy with student visa (for stays superior to 90 days) valid for the whole stay at the UC. (as 'SURNAME, Name - 04 VISA.pdf')

Only for students of medical or health related studies:

  • COVID passport (as 'SURNAME, Name - 05 Covid passport.pdf')

* it can be sent later, prior to the beginning of the exchange period.

Please note that incomplete applications will not be processed.

 

Admission Letter

Formal admission will not be official until reception of the application package by email at the IRO and the LA is approved by the Departmental Coordinator at the UC.

Technical Requisites

Computer with connection to the Internet.

Browser: Netscape 4.x or higher or Internet Explorer 4.x or higher (Operation with older browsers is not guaranteed).

 

**Remember

When clicking on "Start the application" another window of your browser will pop up. Should you have a popup blocker, like Google's, you will need to disable it.

In case you need to go forward or backward, please utilize the buttons included on the application online screens, do not click on the "back" and "forward" buttons of your browser. At the end of the session, you will be sent a confirmation message and a PDF file (Learning Agreement).

You will receive the document with your LA after submitting the application online but it is not an instant process, it may take up to 24 hours to arrive. Please check your spam folder of the email address you specified in the online application periodically to avoid unintentional omissions of important emails.
