Raquel Marqueño graduated in Mycrobiology by the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. After completing her Bachelor, she did a nine months internship at the Infection Biology and Global Health group led by Dr. Julian Hiscox (Liverpool). She then completed a Master's degree in Biomolecules and Cell Dynamics at the Autonomous University of Madrid. During this time, she carried out her Master's thesis in the Chromosome Dynamics group led by Dr. Ana Losada (CNIO). She is currently working on her PhD thesis in Ignacio Varela's group on the role of SWI/SNF chromatin remodelers in the context of lung cancer.
